The outbreak of COVID -19 has posed a serious threat worldwide. Governments are grappling with this health emergency like never before. Many people born after independence may not have seen or imagined such a situation. It has impacted every arena of human activity be it home, office or any other. It has cast a worldwide gloom and depression. The weak hearted people are likely to be impacted by the scare more than the rest.
As schools and colleges are shut to protect precious life of students the crisis has pushed us to leverage technology to reach out to students to ensure continuity in learning. Teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas are using robust IT infrastructure to home deliver good learning content by engaging them in live synchronous classes and also effective follow up. Children are engaged to keep their morale and resilience high.
Parents, our valued stakeholders, are requested to keep a bird’s eye view on their wards’ online classes, provide necessary support to children at home and their feedback to schools to enable them to factor in. Social distancing with two meter distance, frequent hand washing with soap for 20 seconds, wearing of a mask when outside, not spitting here and there are the habits that need to be quickly learned and adopted.
With collective efforts only this health crisis can be overcome.
